![]() I still don't know much about rendering, but I can open KeyShot, drop in a file, and get results with very little effort, and I don't worry too much about having forgotten how to use the program, as the interface is understandable. And when I called or emailed with some questions they were extremely helpful- that support is worth a lot when I'm dealing with a software area in which I don't really know my way around. The interface was easy for me to understand, it worked right away with the files I needed it to. KeyShot offered a full featured demo that I could plug my files into, and it gave me good enough results (I'm not going to be very critical) with almost no effort. The cost, even with a pretty good discount, was fairly high, but not as high to me as spending even a day or two learning something else. I'm not experienced in this area, and rendering is a very occasional need for me. At the time (this is still true) I had essentially no mental bandwidth to spare for learning or researching this kind of software. ![]() There may well have been other things out there, but they did not turn up in my searching. ![]() I bought KeyShot a few years back when I needed a render solution on the Mac that was easily accessible and that I could start using very quickly.
